Everest Base Camp Tours & Treks

Two weeks on foot, one morning in a helicopter or an hour at the window of a mountain flight — compared, priced and bookable.

There is no single "best" Everest tour — there is the right one for your time, budget and appetite for altitude. The list below is grouped by exactly that, from a classic guided trek to Base Camp to an hour-long flight past the summit.

Everything here is booked through GetYourGuide, which means live availability, clear inclusions and, on many listings, free cancellation and reserve-now-pay-later. Prices are indicative "from" figures in euros and change with season and group size — tap any card for the live price in your own currency, and always read what is included (Lukla flights, permits, hotels, meals, porters) before you compare.

Booking questions

Which Everest Base Camp trek is best value?

Lukla-to-Lukla packages look cheapest because the flights are not included; a Kathmandu-to-Kathmandu trek that includes Lukla flights, permits and airport transfers is usually better value once you add everything up. Compare the inclusions line by line, not the headline price.

Are Lukla flights included in trek packages?

It depends on the listing. Treks that start "from Kathmandu" usually include return flights to Lukla (or from Ramechhap in peak season); treks "from Lukla" normally do not. The listing’s inclusions say which — check before booking.

How far in advance should I book?

For October–November and April–May, book the trek and the Lukla flight two to three months ahead if you can. Many GetYourGuide listings allow free cancellation and reserve-now-pay-later, so there is little risk in securing a date early.

Is a helicopter tour worth the price?

If you cannot give the trek two weeks, yes — it is the only way to stand in the upper Khumbu in a single day. Remember that landings at 5,000 m-plus are kept short for altitude safety, and flights depend on morning weather.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Many listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and some let you reserve now and pay later. Multi-day treks often have longer cancellation windows — the exact terms are shown on each tour page before you confirm.
